📢 Police Update – Castle Donington Burglaries & Vehicle Crime 📢 North-West Leicestershire Police are aware of several recent incidents in Castle Donington, where opportunistic thieves have tried handles on both vehicles and houses. Unfortunately, in some cases vehicles have been stolen. Our officers are actively investigating these reports and are carrying out targeted patrols in the affected areas. We are reviewing CCTV, conducting house‑to‑house enquiries, and working to identify the individuals responsible. Your safety and the security of our community remain our top priority. 🔐 How You Can Help Protect Your Home & Vehicles -Use security lighting or motion‑activated lights. -Ensure vehicles, houses, sheds, garages, and outbuildings are securely locked. -Keep valuables out of sight and away from windows. -Consider installing a CCTV doorbell or home security camera. 🔐For vehicles: -Lock your car, even if you’re only leaving it for a moment. -Remove valuables from your vehicle, or keep them out of sight. -Use a driveway post, steering wheel lock, or other visible deterrents. -Keep keys away from doors and windows and put them in a faraday pouch to prevent signal‑boosting thefts. 📞 Have Information? Seen Something Suspicious? We’re asking residents to report anything unusual, no matter how small it may seem. It could be the missing piece we need. The incidents are believed to have occurred in the early hours of Thursday 19th March 2026 and Saturday 21st March 2026.
